PRIVATE CHARTERS
With Cruise Fiordland there is no specific day to day schedule on what you must do. We only take a maximum of 10 people on each Private Charter. Private charters can be aimed at a specific interest or even better a mixture of things. Anything from hunting, diving, fishing, sight seeing, kayaking, going ashore exploring, learning the history or just cruising. We take what you as a group are interested in and do our best to give you the experience of a lifetime.

Private Charters for Stewart Island are undertaken on the vessel Tasman Explorer
and depart/return to Bluff.
Included in the price is all your bedding, meals, and equipment for activities
We are able to accommodate a maximum of 10 People. We have 2 x twin cabins and 1 x 6 person cabin ( 3 x double 3 x singles)
and 3 x bathrooms with toilet and shower.
Children are welcome if they are of an age they can confidently follow health and safety instructions and can actively participate in activities. Generally 8+ in age.
All charters are individually customized to your requirements and are fully catered, include a skipper, deckhand and cook, bed linen (sheets and duvets), towels, Breakfast/lunch/diner and snacks all supplemented by the 'catch of the day' - crayfish, blue cod or hapuka (groper).
Use of all onboard equipment and facilities, fishing rods, kayaks and tender.
Alcohol is pre ordered through our supplier and put onboard prior so its ready for your arrival.
Equipment aboard includes;
Tender: Fiberglass Tender.
Kayaks: 4 x sit on top sea kayaks
Fishing equipment: 10 x boat rods and reels, hooks/sinkers, 1 x Crayfish pots etc.
We offer free diving at Stewart Island and you are required to bring all the appropriate equipment to do so.
and depart/return to Bluff.

Fishing
We are a registered Amateur-Fishing Charter vessel operator with the Ministry for Primary Industries and hold Environment Southland resource consent to operate in the Fiordland Marine Area. However, as a family owned business we are passionate about protecting our children's ability to fish for generations to come. For this reason fish will only be caught to supplement meals for passengers whilst aboard the Cindy Hardy with the opportunity take some home with you for your family. The amount of fish taken for this purpose, methods used, and the locations fished, is solely at the skipper's discretion.

Hunting
All Hunters must provide a copy of Firearms Licence and Hunting Permit for the Area they wish to hunt before they can take firearms onto the Cindy Hardy. All firearms and ammunition are kept on board the Cindy Hardy in a locked gun cabinet in the crew’s quarters and will only be available for owner when going ashore to hunt and must be checked to be safe before boarding any aircraft or boats we provide.
