Stewart Island
Stewart Island is New Zealand's 3rd largest island at 1,680 square kms it is located 30kms South of the South Island.
The island got its name from William W. Stewart who visited the Island in 1806. He anchored at Port Pegasus which is
named after his ship, 'Pegasus'.
